Apple (AAPL) Just Crushed Another Competitor

Apple (AAPL) Just Crushed Another Competitor

Apple (AAPL) announced a plethora of new and improved products at a release event yesterday. You can expect to see a robust look at what consumers thought about the entire presentation later this week, but today we’re focusing one of the newer items announced: AirTags.
Apple has teased the launch of these puck-shaped tracking devices for more than a year, and the initial response looks incredibly strong. AirTag brand Mentions soared yesterday, +1360% higher than when they were teased in November of last year. Apple’s main competitor in the tracking device space is Tile, who has already launched an antitrust lawsuit in response to rumors of the AirTags launch.
Tile claims that Apple has made it intentionally difficult to properly utilize its tracking devices on Apple devices. Based on the consumer response, it looks like Tile has already lost the war of public opinion.
