Consumer Mentions (Buzz)

February 6, 2021

When we talk about Consumer Buzz, we are talking about the total number of qualified mentions of the brands/products that a company makes in a given time frame.

Example:  "Consumer Buzz scores jumped 11% in February" means that we saw 11% more activity in social media about the brands and products that the company makes.

Consumer Buzz data is available for all covered companies back to 2012 in the LikeFolio Research Dashboard.

Shifts in volume can be very telling and can signal an increase or decrease in demand and general consumer interest in the company/brand.

Here’s a great example of consumer buzz increases in Tesla ($TSLA) LEADING sales and stock price gains:

Note:  Consumer Buzz is a general mentions count.  Purchase Intent mentions and Consumer Happiness mentions are each a subset of Consumer Buzz mentions.
