Does PepsiCo (PEP) Have a Hit on its Hands?

April 22, 2024

PepsiCo (PEP) is slated to report earnings April 23 before the bell.

PEP is not typically a big mover on earnings. Last quarter it missed expectations on weakening demand and its stock slipped ~half a percent lower.

This quarter, we do see some signs of improvement out of PEP -- notably in a newly launched beverage: Gatorade Water.

The electrolyte water is boosting the Gatorade brand's happiness levels +10% YoY and mention buzz +37% YoY.

Will this be enough to lift PEP after earnings?
